I've always had a passion for the world of art and design, but it took me a while to fully embrace it. After studying Hospitality and spending eight years in the industry, working as a Restaurant Manager for four years, I realised that my true calling lay elsewhere.
I’m a New Zealand- based Graphic Designer / Calligraphy & Engraving Artist
In 2016, I picked up calligraphy as a hobby, and little did I know that it would become a turning point in my life. As people started noticing my talent and requesting my services, Written was born. Initially, it was a side gig while juggling a full-time job, but my love for design grew stronger with each passing day.
As I delved deeper into the realm of design, I expanded my skills and knowledge, eventually, I decided to teach myself Graphic Design and take it more seriously. Within eight months, I landed a job as a Graphic Designer, and that's when everything changed. I bid farewell to the hospitality industry and embarked on a new career path that brought newfound joy and fulfilment into my life.
While my focus has shifted primarily towards brand identity design, my passion for event calligraphy and engraving services remains as vibrant as ever. Weddings, corporate events, and other special occasions continue to be the canvas on which I bring unique offerings to life. It is a privilege to add that personalised touch to each cherished moment, making them even more memorable.
What’s my WHY?
Having experienced the struggles firsthand when starting my own business, I understand the frustration and wasted resources that come with trying to find your own identity in a crowded market. These experiences ignited my desire to support the small business community in doing things The Right Way and achieving their desired success.
